2. For the Rs. 50000 Gaming Build if you want to have an Intel Build then we would suggest you to go with Core i5 3570 Processor and a B75 Motherboard to pair with it, if you are not planning to go with Overclocking it in future, for Overclocking you may like to have FX-8350 for your Build.

    1. But ASUS K55VM has 630M Graphics card and Z500 has 740M Graphics card, 740M is almost twice as powerful as 630M so it will give better Graphics and Frames.
Processor doesn't matter when you want Gaming Performance.

See the Z500 Flipkart Link above in Post, don't think on it, just Order it.

  3. Can u suggest me a Iappy for virtual machine uses ( around 50k)

    1. This Laptop from Flipkart will suit you as it has more RAM and i7 Processor , means more cores suited to run virtual machines, if you buy it now you will get a Printer free with it at a Price of 50k.

      Combo of Asus K55VM-SX086D Laptop (3rd Gen Ci7/ 8GB/ 1TB/ DOS/ 2GB Graph)

    2. Update :

That offer was terminated and the laptop is now available at a cheaper rate

  4. Hi i am planning on buying a gaming laptop under 60k with minimum 8GB RAM, 2GB graphics card. I really like your suggestion about Z500 but the issue that i have is that it has core i5. I am getting other laptops in same range with core i7 3rd gen and 2 GB ATI 7730 graphics card.
The graphics card in Z500 is way better ,but what difference does core i5 and core i7 make if i plan on playing games heavily?? Does the i5 processor clocked same as core i7 give similar performance, or is core i7 better enough to go along with ATI graphics card??

    1. Z500 is for a budget of around 50k, since you have asked for an i7( i7 doesn't matter in Gaming, Graphics card has to be good to cause a big difference in Gaming)

in Less than 60k i have two laptops for you which you can see, and give the best Gaming performance :-

      Dell Inspiron 15R 5521 Laptop(3rd Gen Ci7/ 8GB/ 1TB/ Win8/ 2GB Graph)

      Samsung NP550P5C (3rd Gen Ci7/ 8GB/ 1TB/ Win8/ 2GB Graph

The Dell Inspiron is better choice as it has a better Graphics card and newer generation card.

  5. Do you think waiting for laptops with 4th generation intel processors is better?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. There are still some 4th Gen Laptops available, but i would say they seem more overpriced and don't justify the minuscule performance difference.

  6. What would you say about samsung series 7 gamer

  8. Lenovo idepad z510 is coming in 15 days !!!should I wait for that or go for Z500 !!!and you doing a great job !!!really liked ur articles !!!

  9. Great job. But don't you think that an ati card will suit better with amd processor in 50k mentioned configuration by you. If yes then please tell the equivalent card of ati rather than nvidia 660.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The Processor and Graphic card doesn't matter when you are using a dedicated GPU and CPU, it doesn't mean that only Nvidia+Intel works or AMD+ATI works, it is wrong to think like that.
ATI card is preferred only when you are using AMD APUs with AMD GPUs.
But if you still want and equivalent to 660 in ATI then take a look on 7870 DDR5 ATI.

  10. hello, i want to buy a gaming laptop under 70000. i have zeroed in on the ideapad y500. would you recommend it or can you recommend any other laptop within my budget.
    performance and durability matters.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The Y500 is the best recommendation for this Budget, Performance and durability wise, there are no better alternatives.

    2. how is the HP Envy 15-J048TX? which one will be better for me?
the envy is lighter, has more usb ports, and has haswell.
i am a college student, and so need to travel a lot with my laptop.
both are available on flipkart for 69000.

      Delete
    3. Lenovo Y500 has a Better Graphics card i.e. GT750M , and inspite of HP Envy 15-J048TX having 4th gen Processor, which is just the same like 3rd gen i7 in Y500, it has a slower 64 bit DDR3 GPU which is inferior in comparison to the GDDR5 750 in Y500, so i would suggest you to buy this Lenovo Ideapad Y500 from Flipkart ASAP as the rates are less now and i have been experiencing fluctuations upto 75000 for Y500.

      Delete
    4. and believe me the Haswell's are not much of an improvement over Ivy-bridge, and the Weight of Laptop should not be a big issue as long as you get a Good ergonomic backpack.

    5. dont you think that if i get the y510p for 73000, i should get that instead? coz the redemption offer of lenovo on y500 is already over and on y510p it is still available. and a similar offer is available on the hp envy. i need to buy extra warranty with the redemption offer. and people are complaining about the bad service of lenovo. 69000 on y500 and then some extra warranty for 2 years for 1999 takes my total to 71000. the y510 aint far from that price.

      Delete
    6. yes, i pointed out to the one whose link you posted. ok thanks for the advice. will decide between lenovo and hp, do you know that would there be any price changes(fall) during diwali or any other offer for these laptops? i have got plenty of time to buy.

      Delete
    7. Most Probably there would be no Discount, but there can be some cash back schemes on using Debit cards and so so, but no Discounts.

    8. thanks for all the help, m buying the hp envy! :)

    9. sir one more help please!
i have heard that the hp envy 15 which i pointed out has plastic top and there are some other keyboard issues as well...can you please confirm it from some trusted source ? help! :)

      Delete
    10. I have seen that Laptop Myself, it has Plastic Top and many issues, HP Laptops are not buy-worthy if you ask me, i would still suggest you to go with Ideapad Y500 i suggested you above, the Slightly better specifications of HP envy mean nothing if it falters after 1 year, the HP laptops are known for these kind of issues.

    11. y 500 available on snapdeal for 64222! please have a look on the site , the warranty and especially if i should buy it from snapdeal! lemme know if i should grab this offer!

    12. i contacted with snapdeal and they told me that the laptop with them is a Lenovo Ideapad Y500 (59-379647) and not the previous 59-379619 which had the 650m, they have confirmed that this has a gt 750m.

  11. Samsung NP550P5C-S06IN or LENOVO Ideapad Z500 . I am getting both at same price . samsung has 650 M and ideapad has 740M . As 650 M is better . I need a laptop which I can use for next three years .Detailed reply will be appreciated Anurag

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 650M is better by a margin of around 5-15 FPS on many games, that is something and sometimes it is not much better, but the new 740M is also 64 bit compared to 128bit of 650M which means that 650M has slightly better Memory bandwidth.
The reliability of Samsung laptops is questionable and they are not known much for sticking around for 3 years, on the other hand Lenovo has been known for its durability always.
Its your choice then, can you sacrifice ~10% of Gaming performance for Durability ?

  12. I am looking for a laptop which I can use for work as well as gaming under 50000/-.
when I asked my friends about apu processor vs intel ci5/ci7 , they told me that APU is not recommended.
what is the issue with APU?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. NO issues, its just that People who have not used APUs form all kind of opinions about them, the APU laptops available at Rs.33000 like this Lenovo Essential G505s can perform much better than any i5 at the same budget upto Rs.40000, and there no heating issues mostly, the Heating issues happen with Intel too, and those are just rare.
