Bounce rate is the reflection of the number of people who are actually interested in your site overall. Even a 10% reduction in the Bounce rate may do wonders for your CTR and Average site on Time.

What is Bounce Rate?

Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors, who leave the site after visiting exactly one page.
So, more the bounce rate, less is the profit you are making. There can be many factors which affect the bounce rate and most of those factors are different for different sites. But, there are some general factors, if you consider those factors and make changes accordingly, the bounce rate will be definitely decreased.

With the recent updates in Google Pagerank algorithm recently many of the webmasters who were achieving good scores earlier are getting bad scores now. This clearly has no relation whatsoever to ranking on SERPs and we can not relate the Page sizes and load times with higher/lower positions. But it was found in a survey on Moz that TTFB (Time to first Byte) correlated to ranking positions, but still it is doubtful as to if those sites rank higher because they have lesser TTFB (Better Back-end) or they rank higher so they have to keep good back-end to keep with the Loads.

Recently the Google Pagespeed score has been updated to make sure that User experience is flawless for everyone who clicks on a link through SERPs (maybe it is updated to reflect better on the algorithm changes, god knows). Google doesn't want users to have a bad experience so it won't hesitate to rank those sites lower which have low performance/Heavy Pages/Bad requests/Other issues.

Recently i got my Adsense approved after much anticipation and planning, this was somewhat of a surprise as opposed to general industry belief that you have to have 1000+ pageviews/day and Domain should be atleast 6 months old so, but in reality nothing is official, Adsense guidelines say that content should have quality and be unique.
Actually i think it's little more than that, its more dependent on the content and how you get your traffic, is the traffic coming from Organic search or not or is it just referral traffic, there are many points which we are going to discuss here, so let's start.

"Why i never cared for Alexa Ranks"

Alexa is an organization that records traffic rankings of all the sites on the world wide web, using Alexa tool-bars installed on user's browsers who visit the sites, the toolbar collects the site data and sends it to Alexa, which then collates it to compile traffic rankings and make changes in them accordingly.It also gathers information about users age, city, country, marital status if it can find out anything about it from user's previous search queries.
